Responsibilities
:
1. Monitor and review the tax implications of corporate actions (, mergers, tender offers) andmunicate relevant considerations to the Business
2. Prepare and/or review end-of-period closing and reporting for the withholding tax process
3. Monitor the firm's risk profile related to investments that may generate trade or business ie
4. Partner with thepliance and Risk Controls teams to ensure no negative tax implications to external investors
5. Prepare and/or review tax withholding forms (, Forms W-9, W-8IMY), FATCA/CRS self-certifications, and FATCA registrations
6. Prepare and/or review monthly/annual sales tax and property tax returns, and assist with refund claims and audits
7. Prepare and/or review annual Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts (FBAR), quarterly and annual analysis of tax positions and liabilities for the audited financial statements (ASC740), and quarterly IRC Section 163(j) analysis to ensure tax deductibility of interest expense
8. Assist with IRC Section 174pliance and research & development credit calculations and reporting
9. Identify and implement process improvements, and support tax automation initiatives
10. Collaborate with colleagues across the firm, including portfolio managers, business heads, HR, Legal, Middle Office, and IT
11. Assist with implementing management reporting and analysis to help add value to the business
Qualifications/Skills Required:
12. 3+ years of experience in a tax, accounting, or finance role at a public accounting firm or within the financial services / asset management space
13. Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field
14. tax experience is preferred
15. Self-starter with proven ability to work independently and efficiently
16. Experience working with remote teams across different time zones
17. Strong written and verbalmunication skills, with the ability tomunicate with senior colleagues across different departments within the firm
18. Proven ability to contribute in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
19. Excellent attention to detail with amitment to accuracy, quality, and integrity
20. Team player that is excited to work collaboratively and cross-functionally, displaying a client service mindset when supporting other teams across the firm
21. Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to balance multiple deadlines
22. Strong Excel skills
