Senior Accountant - Global Finance (RTR) - Cork - Permanent
My client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their global team based in Cork. This role goes far beyond traditional accounting tasks; it offers the opportunity to influence how finance operates in a modern, data‑driven organisation. You will manage RTR activities for international entities while helping shape the future of a technology‑enabled finance function.
Key Responsibilities
Act as primary finance contact for assigned entities.
Manage general ledger activities and month‑end close.
Complete P&L and balance sheet analysis, reconciliations, and reporting.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.
Support internal and external audits.
Contribute to service standards, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Evaluate processes and implement optimisation and automation opportunities.
Support statutory accounting and VAT requirements as needed.
Ideal Candidate
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA).
Experience in RTR within a multinational environment; Shared Services an advantage.
Strong understanding of US GAAP and general accounting principles.
Proficient in SAP (or similar ERP) and Microsoft Office tools.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
Interest in analytics, automation, and intelligent financial technologies.
Ability to support occasional late US close.
