Greenfield Foods Ltd, Smithborough, Co Monaghan has an immediate available position as a HR Generalist to cover Maternity Leave from March 2026.

The ideal candidate should have experience in HR, strong organisational skills,

good interpersonal and communication skills.

A good knowledge of employment law in ROI & best practices is necessary for the job.

The HR function is responsible for:

· Reviewing Organisational Needs – Daily catch ups and meeting with Management to discuss the organisational needs such as vacant roles, training gaps and monitoring employee performances.

· Recruitment - Recruiting staff by preparing job descriptions and job advertisements. Advertising on various channels, screen calling candidates, shortlisting applicants, conducting interviews, & contacting references.

· Onboarding – Liaising with new starters, ensuring that all new staff members are provided with correct documentation such as Offer Letters, Terms & Conditions of Employment etc.

· Administration – Ensuring that all employee files are up to date and stored confidentially to comply with GDPR regulations. Updating information on the company Time Management System.

· Training – Delivering Induction Training to new employees. Co-ordinating with the Quality Team and Health & Safety Manager to identify gaps in training. Organising training sessions with staff.

· Absenteeism – Conducting daily attendance checks and following up on employees who are absent from work. Co-ordinating with Payroll to ensure that clocking's and absences are logged correctly onto the companies Time Management System.

· Employment Law – Staying informed and educated on changes & trends in employment law.

· Workplace Policies – Liaising with management to update policies in the Company Handbook and Terms & Conditions. Implementing policies when necessary, such as disciplinary's and grievances.

· Social Accountability – Ensuring that the company complies with Employee Welfare standards as advised by customer standards e.g. SEDEX.

· CIPD Qualifications are desirable.

Core working hours are from 9am to 5pm, however business requirements may request that you are open to occasional flexibility. There is potential for the role to be part time for suitably experienced candidates.
