For further information please visit: About the Role:An exciting opportunity for a Transmission and Compliance Editor to join one of the core Broadcast Services teams within Virgin Media Television. This team is responsible for the preparation, review & output to air of all Virgin Media Channels. Due to the nature of Television, this role is onsite at our Ballymount Studios and involves irregular hours and weekend work. Specific Duties & Tasks:Prepping live programmes for quick turnaround repeatsPrepping all non-live programmes to fulfil the needs of the weekly programme and digital schedules across all VMTV channels Flag and resolve any audio/visual glitches within filesEvaluate acquired programme content with due regard to Virgin Media television's taste and decency guidelinesSend content to internal transmissions systems for on-air playoutMeticulous entry of metadata into rights and scheduling softwareAssist the Transmission team in loading, timing, and checking transmission schedulesMonitor of VMTV linear channels and third party stakeholder platforms carrying VMTV channelsLoad and QC access service files, commercials, and other interstitialsEnsure that the content for output of all channels is kept to the highest broadcast standardsOther additional duties as necessitated by the CompanySkills & Expertise:The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate knowledge of Avid based editing systems, or similarHave at least 1 years' editing experienceUnderstanding of broadcast video formats and standardsKnowledge of Transmission systems and Rights/Scheduling software is an advantage but not essentialThe Person:First-class problem-solving skills who gets to the heart of the matterThe ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with the business while ascertaining the key impact/detail behind the issue/requestAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and embrace changeHigh attention to detail, someone who cares about quality in everything they doA methodical approach to both daily tasks and project workExplores opportunities by being resourceful and self-motivatingWorks collaboratively with other teams Excellent time management and organisation skillsFlexible approach to working a shift patternVirgin Media is an equal opportunities employer.
