Senior Manager - Culture, Internal Communications & Employee Engagement Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, the Senior Manager, Culture, Internal Communications & Employee Engagement is a strategic leader responsible for shaping a cohesive, connected and high-performance employee experience.
The role partners closely with the Executive Team, HR, People Leaders and employees across the organisation to strengthen engagement, build an inclusive culture and ensure internal communications act as a key enabler of organisational success.
This role is pivotal in translating employee insights into actionable strategies that reinforce organisational values, drive alignment with business goals and foster a workplace where people feel valued, supported and motivated to succeed.
The Senior Manager provides thought leadership on culture and engagement, guides leaders in understanding employee sentiment and ensures communication is clear, timely and impactful, particularly through periods of change or crisis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Culture & Employee Experience Develop and lead culturestrengthening strategies and initiatives aligned to the organisations mission, vision and values.
Champion an inclusive, positive employee experience that enhances belonging, collaboration and trust.
Implement programmes and practices that reinforce organisational culture across all functions, locations and employee groups.
Embed inclusive engagement practices that reflect and celebrate workforce diversity.
Oversee the design and delivery of company-wide culture, employee engagement and internal communications initiatives, including key events, conferences and employee recognition programmes (e.g., the annual Going the Extra Mile (GEMs) awards).
Employee Engagement & Insights Leadtheemployee engagement strategy, including the design and delivery of surveys, listening tools, focus groups and ongoing feedback channels.
Analyse engagement, retention and workforce insights to identify themes, risks and opportunities, providing data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.
Develop action plans to address engagement trends and track progress against engagement KPIs and organisational goals.
Employee Value Proposition (EVP) Lead the development, refinement and activation of the organisations EVP, ensuring it authentically reflects the employee experience.
Align EVP messaging and initiatives with talent attraction, development and retention strategies.
Partner with Recruitment, Learning & Development and Communications to embed the EVP consistently across the full employee lifecycle.
Internal Communications Leadership Provide strategic leadership for internal communications, ensuring messages are consistent, purposeful and aligned with organisational strategy.
Oversee the Internal Communications function, directing priorities, delivery standards and the ongoing cycle of communication.
Optimise communication channels and engagement platforms to enhance clarity, transparency and two-way dialogue.
Partner with the Office of the CEO and External Communications to ensure alignment with corporate and CEOsponsored messaging.
Support crisis communications planning and execution, ensuring employees receive accurate, timely information.
Ensure communication and engagement initiatives uphold diversity, equity and inclusion principles.
Lead communication support for HR programmes, including policy updates, recruitment campaigns, training initiatives, events, conferences and employee recognition.
Collaboration, Leadership & Change Enablement Advise senior leaders on culture, engagement risks, employee morale and organisational health.
Partner with business leaders to ensure culture and engagement strategies directly support business priorities.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to build a unified, company-wide approach to culture and engagement.
KEY SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Significant experience in employee engagement, culture, internal communications or a related strategic HR discipline.
Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver engagement and culture strategies grounded in data and employee insights.
Proven capability to build trusted relationships with diverse stakeholder groups, strategically assessing their influence and engagement needs to shape culture, enhance employee experience and drive companywide communication outcomes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
Proven experience in leading internal communications, including change and crisis communication.
Strong understanding of organisational culture, engagement and retention practices.
Experience advising leaders and working cross-functionally in dynamic environments.
Empathetic, people-centred approach with strong judgement and the ability to balance organisational needs.
Highly self-directed, adaptive and committed to continuous improvement.
A qualification in HR, Organisational Development, Communications or relevant professional accreditation is desirable.
