Overview 360 Search is partnering with a leading insurance group to recruit an experienced Underwriting Operations Manager.
This role combines operational oversight with technical underwriting responsibilities, including remote management of a UK operations team and support for underwriting activities across the EEA.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of leadership, operational excellence, and underwriting experience, with the ability to manage complex processes and drive collaboration across multiple locations.
Occasional international travel will be required.
Key Responsibilities Lead a UK-based operations team, ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance with company standards.
Oversee day-to-day underwriting and operational processes, workflow allocation, and governance.
Support underwriting activity across the EEA, including risk assessment, pricing, and policy issuance.
Maintain adherence to internal and regulatory standards.
Liaise with brokers, MGAs, and service partners to ensure smooth delivery of underwriting and operational services.
Identify and lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Provide guidance and training to team members and outsourced partners.
Build strong working relationships across underwriting, operations, and finance teams.
Skills & Experience Minimum 5 years underwriting experience within an MGA, insurer, or delegated authority environment.
Recognised insurance qualification meeting Central Bank of Ireland MCC standards (APA, CIP, or ACII).
Strong understanding of insurance operations including credit control, reconciliation, and agency management.
Proven ability to manage remote or outsourced teams.
Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and operational management systems.
Additional Information This is a remote position with occasional in-person meetings or travel (approximately 24 times per year).
