Based out of our Kill office (Co. Kildare), the successful candidate will report to the Team Leader on all aspects of the position and will be an integral part of our wider Wholesale Commercial team.
About the role
As a Broker Support Executive, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Wholesale broker network, ensuring seamless policy administration, and delivering exceptional service standards. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills and a passion for customer service in the insurance sector. The successful candidate will have the ability to progress within the department and take on additional responsibilities over time, including handling client accounts.
Key Responsibilities
* Follow good practice at all times to ensure the client\'s best interests are served.
* Assist Account Executives with administration and support functions in a timely manner: preparation of submissions, input of data, scanning of documents, issue of documents, mid-term adjustments, finance, and other tasks as requested, screen calls and direct to the correct Executive.
* Liaise with Commercial Credit Controller on finance issues as required.
* Support brokers with policy administration, documentation, and system queries.
* Process new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations accurately within agreed SLAs.
* Communicate with underwriting and claims teams to resolve queries and escalate issues where necessary.
* Maintain up-to-date records and ensure compliance with Central Bank of Ireland regulations.
* Handle inbound broker queries via phone and email with professionalism and efficiency.
About You
* Extremely well organized with excellent time management skills.
* Ability to work on own initiative, meet deadlines and work under pressure in a busy environment.
* Willingness to progress within the team to Account Executive level.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* High level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and insurance administration systems.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and data protection standards.
* A commitment to learning toward an insurance qualification, with APA Commercial achieved within 12 months.
* 1-2 years of previous experience in an administration role is desirable.
