**Job Description**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electronic Health Record SME to join our team. As an Electronic Health Record SME, you will be responsible for leading medium to large complexity Epic software upgrade initiatives or enhancements to workflows.
You will provide Epic product function, design, build, and testing expertise and experience for assigned Epic module(s). You will collaborate with end users to design and build the Epic system in a timely and professional manner and make corrective configuration or enhancements.
You will participate in design and validation sessions and ensure appropriate documentation, follow-up and issue escalation occurs. You will provide technical and/or clinical consultation including application configuration. Review, analyze, and evaluate system needs to develop recommendations for customers.
You will serve as a mentor/subject matter expert to local and client-based team members. You will perform in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with Epic software.
You will facilitate communication with stakeholders from initial requirements to final implementation.
About the Role:
This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of electronic health records and healthcare systems. The ideal candidate will have deep experience of Epic or Cerner systems, with active / current Epic or Cerner certification in at least one area.
The candidate will also have direct client healthcare domain knowledge such as clinical documentation workflow, patient portal, closing encounters, and patient flow. They will be able to take on a new application or project area with proven success.
The successful candidate will be able to manage application specific work plans at the resource and task level. They will have degree education or equivalent experience.
