A Public Services Organisation are currently seeking an experiencedPayroll Specialistto join the HR team on an initial 12-month contract with a view to a permanency. Reporting to the HR Manager, this role plays a key part in delivering accurate, timely payroll and high-quality HR administrative support across the organisation.Salary scale with starting point of €51,918.61Initial 12-month contract with a view to a permanencyHybrid role based in Dublin 8, near Heuston StationThe RoleThe Payroll Specialist will manage assigned payrolls end-to-end, ensuring all employee records are accurately maintained, payroll deadlines are met, and HR administrative processes operate efficiently. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively across HR, Finance and operational teams.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the full employee lifecycle from payroll set-up to exit processingSet up and maintain employee recordsProcess payroll changes including promotions, secondments and exitsCompile weekly and monthly payroll reports and CSV filesLiaise with Payroll Controllers to ensure timely and accurate payroll processingMaintain employee personnel files in line with data protection requirementsManage HR inboxes and track HR actionsProvide administrative support to the HR teamSupport compliance with employment legislation, payroll and benefits policiesAssist with HR projects and process improvement initiativesArrange medicals and manage medical and welfare administrationEssential RequirementsMinimum 3 years' experience in HR and/or PayrollDegree-level qualification in a relevant disciplineStrong IT skills, particularly Microsoft ExcelExcellent attention to detail and numerical abilityStrong planning, organisational and time-management skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet strict payroll deadlinesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsTo apply, please contact Sarah Friel on the Lex Consultancy team.
