We are seeking a highly skilled landscape architect to lead our landscape division and drive the growth of our company.
About the Role
This is a senior position that will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our business. As Principal Landscape Architect, you will be responsible for setting up and leading a new landscape division, providing strategic direction and guidance to team members.
Key Responsibilities
* Establishing and managing project programmes and budgets to ensure successful delivery of projects.
* Producing high-quality LVIA's (landscape and visual impact assessments) and landscaping layout plans & masterplans to meet client requirements.
* Conducting site visits and photography to capture project progress and outcomes.
* Fostering business growth by identifying new opportunities and developing strategies to win new clients.
* Managing work enquiries, preparing bids, and building strong relationships with clients.
* Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects and undertaking stakeholder engagement activities.
* Planning, coordinating, and undertaking field surveys, analysing, and interpreting results from other disciplines using approaches such as biodiversity measures.
* Designing and co-ordinating effective landscaping schemes that meet client needs.
Requirements
* Proven report writing and organisational skills to manage complex projects.
* Experience conducting LVIA's for various project scales and sizes.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, and desktop publishing software.
* Membership of the Chartered Institute of the Landscape Institute (CMLI).
* A minimum of 5 years' relevant post-qualification experience in landscape architecture.
* A degree in landscape architecture or a related field.
* Demonstrable expertise in landscape design and management.
* Strong commercial awareness to identify and pursue business opportunities.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
