Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Join our dynamic Tech Consulting team at EY Ireland as an Assistant Manager on our Cloud Engineering team. In this role, you'll work on impactful, high-profile projects that help transform how our clients operate. This role is ideal for individuals with 4 - 5 years of hands-on experience in cloud environments including 1 year in a Team Lead capacity. The ideal candidate will have experience mentoring and guiding junior team members, coupled with a strong passion for cloud engineering.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Deliver hands-on technical work across cloud platform engineering activities (AWS, Azure and GCP).
* Support cloud solution implementation from design through deployment, monitoring and ongoing operations.
* Collaborate with team members and clients to problem-solve, troubleshoot, and deliver reliable cloud services.
* Contribute to proposal development and presentations for moderately complex projects.
* Develop high-quality work products and contribute as a subject matter resource in your area of expertise.
* Participate in technical discussions to shape client solutions, focusing on practical outcomes.
* Maintain your personal development plan and continue to build technical expertise.
* Understand and follow EY’s workplace policies and procedures.

To Qualify for the Role, You Should Have
* Third level qualification in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline, or relevant experience related to the position.
* 4 - 5 years of relevant professional experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure roles, with 1 year experience operating in a Team Lead capacity, mentoring and providing guidance to junior members of the team.
* Previous experience in a consulting or customer-facing environment to help understand client challenges and communicate effectively.
* Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud systems in AWS, Azure and / or GCP.
* Practical exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM, Bicep, PowerShell and / or Python.
* Understanding of core networking concepts in cloud platforms.
* Experience in Linux / Windows administration and scripting.
* Exposure to DevOps tooling (pipelines, code repositories, CI/CD, automated testing).
* Familiarity with security best practices and compliance validation.
* Good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
* Experience with Agile delivery methods and collaboration tools.
* Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
* Professional certifications in AWS, Azure, and / or GCP are a big plus!
* Exposure to topics such as Identity and Access Management, Backup and Disaster Recovery, and Patch Management.
