Lead Data Engineer Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Platform Lead to drive the design and delivery of our cloud-based data platform. This role will be responsible for migrating existing SQL Server, SSIS, and Python workflows to the cloud, building scalable ingestion pipelines for ePOS, accounting, and third-party data, and implementing data quality, validation, monitoring, and lineage.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ongoing optimization of Power BI datasets and performance to ensure seamless business insights.
* Collaboration with software engineering teams on integrations and data-driven solutions.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or data platform development.
* Strong expertise in SQL Server, including modeling, optimization, and ETL processes.
* Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
* Proficiency in modern data pipelines, orchestration, and transformation techniques.
* Advanced knowledge of Power BI modeling and performance tuning.
* Solid understanding of data governance, lineage, and reliability principles.
Nice to Have:
* Experience with ADF, dbt, and Airflow.
* Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and applications.
* Background in retail, financial, or SaaS industries.
* Implementation of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CICD) for data platforms.
