OverviewJoin to apply for the Registered Nurse role at Irish Blood Transfusion Service.The IBTS is currently recruiting a part-time, permanent/temporary Registered Nurse based in the Nursing Department, Cork Centre.Location and employment detailsPart Time (75 hours/every 4 weeks) – PermanentCork CentreRole purposeThe Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS) operates nurse-led collection clinics, managed by a Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM). The role of the Registered Nurse (RN) on the Hybrid clinic team is to work with the CNM to support IBTS strategic priorities with regard to achieving operational excellence, improving donor experience and supporting better healthcare, ensuring compliance with current legislative requirements. When required, the RN will act as CNM to lead the team. The RN is expected to practice within the NMBI Code of Practice and Scope of Practice and within the IBTS Quality System and Code of Conduct.ResponsibilitiesWork with the CNM to support operational priorities and donor experience.Lead the team as CNM when required.Ensure practice within NMBI Code of Practice and IBTS Quality System and Code of Conduct.Qualifications and experienceBe registered with NMBI (live register) in any division.Have at least 2 years post-registration experience relevant to the role.Demonstrate experience in managing people.Evidence of recent continuous professional development (CPD).Excellent written communication skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.Proven IT skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook) and experience with electronic Patient Management / Learning Management systems.Full Driving Licence.Salary and benefitsThe salary scale attached to the post is the Enhanced Nurse scale €44,311 to €57,273 (incl. LSI) pro rata per annum.
