Abbott Vascular is a leading vascular care business focused on advancing treatment of vascular diseases. We combine the latest medical device innovations with pharmaceuticals, investing in R&D, and advancing medicine through training and education. Our vascular devices treat vessel diseases of the heart, carotid arteries, and peripheral blood vessels, which can lead to heart attack, stroke, and other serious conditions.
This Is How You Will Make a Difference
You will be responsible for functions related to manufacturing operations, supporting lines, root causing non-conforming products, and monitoring line performance. You may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify manufacturing processes and work with engineers on experiments.
Main Responsibilities
* Observe and comply with all safety rules, including QSR and ISO standards.
* Identify and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
* Perform equipment setup, maintenance, and calibration.
* Install and validate equipment and processes to improve yield and reduce cycle time following validation procedures.
* Evaluate operating data for on-line adjustments and develop or revise documents and procedures.
* Certify manufacturing associates in production processes.
* Evaluate and order necessary equipment, tools, and fixtures.
Experience, Education, and Skills Required
* NFQ level 6 qualification in a relevant discipline.
* Relevant work experience is advantageous but not essential; an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
* Basic technical knowledge and understanding of product or systems fundamentals.
* Knowledge of numerical/statistical data and computer software for routine problem-solving.
* Performs routine technical tasks from detailed instructions, including setup, testing, repair, inspection, and maintenance of equipment.
* Completes daily work to schedule with guidance on prioritization.
* Solves problems of limited scope, following well-defined procedures.
* Works under close supervision, receiving detailed instructions on assignments.
