Are you a motivated and skilled Equine Veterinary Surgeon seeking an exciting opportunity in the vibrant Toulouse region? Do you dream of combining your passion for horses with access to stunning natural landscapes, from the ski slopes of the Pyrenees to the sunny Mediterranean coast?
We are looking for a dedicated and versatile veterinary surgeon to join a small equine veterinary team. Located just 1.5 hours from the Pyrenean ski resorts and 2 hours from the sea, the clinic offers a unique lifestyle and a stimulating professional environment. They serve a diverse clientele of individual horse owners and equestrian professionals, providing a wide range of medical and surgical services.
About the clinic:
Well-equipped clinic features a modern consultation room, a dedicated operating room, eight comfortable hospitalization stalls, and several hectares of paddocks for patient well-being. They utilize advanced equipment including ultrasound, digital X-ray, endoscope and gastroscope, blood analyzer, shock wave therapy, laser, and IRAP. The caseload includes orthopedics, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, gynecology.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing comprehensive medical and surgical care to equine patients.
* Performing clinical examinations, diagnostics, and developing treatment plans.
* Utilizing advanced equipment (ultrasound, digital X-ray, endoscopy, etc.) for accurate diagnoses and treatments.
* Building strong relationships with clients.
* Maintaining accurate medical records.
* Participating actively in the clinic's activities and contributing to its growth.
Remuneration and Benefits:
* Competitive Salary: Attractive salary from 50,000 to 100,000 per year, based on skills and experience.
* On-Call Duty: Participation in a rota of 1 weekend out of 3 and 2 nights per week.
* Accommodation: Possibility of free accommodation during the initial 6-month fixed-term contract.
* Contract: Initial 6-month fixed-term contract with potential for permanent employment.
Requirements:
* Ability to relocate to France within 4 to 8 weeks after offer acceptance.
* Experience as an equine veterinarian capable of working independently.
* Proficiency in small surgical procedures.
* Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
* Basic French language skills; willingness to improve is essential.
