Procurement Strategist Role
The Procurement Strategist will be responsible for implementing and managing the operational purchasing programs and processes.
This includes determining what materials to replenish, when to replenish them, and in what quantities. The Procurement Strategist will also be accountable for material shortages, values, and volumes.
To achieve these goals, the Procurement Strategist will develop and implement best practices for using systems functionality, such as SAP and PP/MRP, to support timely replenishment of raw materials and indirect products and services.
The Procurement Strategist will ensure that all purchasing controls are maintained in accordance with corporate procurement policies and procedures.
Ssupplier performance monitoring and evaluation will also be a key responsibility of the Procurement Strategist.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain operational purchasing programs and processes.
* Be directly accountable for material shortages, material values, and volumes.
* Implement best practices for using systems functionality to support timely replenishment.
* Maintain purchasing controls in line with corporate policies.
* Monitor and evaluate supplier performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A strong understanding of procurement principles and practices is essential, as well as experience with systems functionality, such as SAP and PP/MRP.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team is also crucial for success in this role.
