What does a great Technical Product Manager (Product Owner) do?
We are currently seeking a Technical Product Manager to join our Air Offer team, supporting our Revenue Optimization area. If you want to be challenged every day, work with a team to develop solutions for some of the travel industry’s most challenging issues, and are interested in products that handle real-time transactions worldwide, then this may be the right job for you.
Air Offer manages our pricing platform, including negotiated private fare data, which is integrated with industry data. The Technical Product Manager will collaborate with our agile teams, representing customer needs and ensuring the team focuses on the right priorities. The role requires knowledge of travel technology and cross-team coordination across product pillars to align strategies and standards.
Responsibilities include:
* Ensure successful product delivery using agile best practices
* Coordinate with Product Managers, Engineering, and other teams to prioritize work
* Create user stories from requirements, including edge cases and non-functional needs
* Develop deep understanding of systems and ensure compliance with industry standards
* Ensure team understanding and alignment on user stories
* Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to team improvements
* Make informed decisions and keep stakeholders updated
* Define and ensure sign-off on User Acceptance Criteria
* Focus on maximizing customer value and product success
* Inspire and communicate product strategy to the team
Ideal candidate:
* Knowledge of Agile principles and Product Owner experience
* Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Webex Teams, Slack, JIRA
* Ability to work independently and globally, with flexible hours
* Effective communication skills
* Experience with Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and metrics-driven approaches
* Strong collaboration and influencing skills
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
* Willingness to travel 5-10%
* Travel industry experience and familiarity with air fare pricing are preferred
