About the role Lead the full hotel operation with accountability for commercial performance, guest satisfaction, people development and brand standards.
Shape and deliver the hotel's strategic plan, driving sustained revenue growth, profitability and market positioning.
Champion a culture where service moves from acceptable to truly exceptional, embedding Marriott and Hodson Bay Group standards across every guest touchpoint.
Work closely with the Financial Controller to manage budgets, optimise cost bases and maximise overall profitability.
Act as the figurehead for the hotel, building strong relationships with guests, corporate clients, local businesses and the wider community.
Play a key role within the Hodson Bay Group senior management team, sharing best practice and contributing to groupwide initiatives and innovation.
The key areas of responsibility for this role are outlined in full in the job description and include: training development, people development, guest experience development, product and process development, financial development, and sales and marketing development.
What you'll bring A proven track record in senior hotel leadership (for example as Deputy General Manager or General Manager) in a quality fourstar or higher property.
Strong commercial acumen, with experience of delivering results against budget and driving both topline and bottom-line performance.
A people centred leadership style, with the ability to inspire, develop and retain high performing teams across all departments.
A relentless focus on guest experience, quality, and continuous improvement in standards, systems and procedures.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the gravitas to represent a leading international hotel brand locally and nationally.
