Location: Based in Letterkenny – hybrid 2-3 days in office per week
What You Will Do
PGIM Real Estate is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join its Agency Accounting Team. You will be responsible for the preparation of Agency mortgage loan journal entries corresponding to the life cycle of the loan (i.e., borrower deposit, rate lock, funding, and loan settlement) as well as maintaining the associated cash logs. Additional responsibilities include accounting for Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSR’s), analytics such as Revenue schedules and “Goal Posts”, PASS account reconciliations, loan fee accounting, debt tracking, and the creation of robust policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, initiative‑taking, and work well within a fast‑paced, challenging environment, taking ownership of work and accountability for driving positive business outcomes.
What You Can Expect
Prepare Agency cash logs and corresponding journal entries.
Prepare bank account reconciliations.
Prepare closing wires and reconcile borrower’s deposits through loan fee accounting.
Prepare mortgage loan accounting entries and maintain the Agency Mortgage Loan Master Files.
Review mortgage loan agreements to ensure correct interest rate and principal when preparing journal entries.
Obtain a solid understanding of the business to perform effective analytics such as Revenue Schedules and Goal Posts.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, identify and institute account reconciliation efficiencies to support proper PASS account sign‑off.
Effectively partner across the organization with Investor Reporting, Investor Operations, Servicing, Asset Management, Portfolio Management, Controllers, Financial Reporting, and IT to ensure effective communications across the platform.
Prepare various analytical reports and support special projects on an as‑needed / ad hoc basis.
What You Will Bring
Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant accounting experience.
Solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
Strong accounting, research, and analytical skills.
Ability to drive process improvement.
Strong technical skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and partnering skills.
Willingness to work extended hours and support other internal groups as needed.
Exceptional Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word).
What Will Set You Apart
Public accounting firm experience / CPA / MBA a plus.
Experience in commercial real‑estate, financial services, or asset management industry is beneficial but not required.
Real‑estate industry knowledge of debt/equity terms and financial application.
Experience with SQL Oracle GL systems.
