Our client specialises is seeking a Control Systems Engineer with strong software development experience to join their R&D team focused on advanced cooling technologies for data centre applications. You'll work as part of a cross-functional team designing and testing control systems that power our next-generation heat rejection products, including passive and hybrid thermosyphon-based solutions. This role bridges the gap between control theory and real-world application.

Requirements:
7. Degree in Control Systems, Mechatronics, Software Engineering, or a related field
8. 3+ years of experience in software development for control systems, ideally in HVAC, refrigeration, or process environments
9. Proficiency in Function Block Diagram (FBD) programming
10. Understanding of control system fundamentals and real-world system dynamics
11. Experience with industrial sensors, PLCs, and automation hardware
12. Ability to troubleshoot, iterate, and collaborate in a hands-on lab setting
Responsibilities:
13. Design and develop control logic using Function Block Diagram (FBD) and structured programming methods
14. Integrate and test control software on prototype systems in our R&D lab environment
15. Collaborate closely with mechanical and electrical engineers to define system behaviour
16. Tune and refine control loops (PID, cascaded control, etc.) based on experimental results
17. Contribute to test planning and support data acquisition and analysis for control validation
18. Assist with documentation, version control, and handover to production where needed
