Main Purpose of the Role
To ensure the Checkout and Online Departments operate efficiently and effectively at all times, delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high operational standards.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* At least 1 year's experience in a Supervisor role (desirable)
* At least 1 year's experience working on checkouts
* Proven ability to balance tills accurately
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* Ability to prioritise and respond to customer needs quickly and effectively
* High attention to detail, with strong organisational skills and flexibility
* Capability to use own initiative while also working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Actively embody and promote SuperValu brand values: Genuine, Passion for Food, Vibrant, Committed, Innovative, and Imaginative
* Drive sales and performance using KPI reports, financial data, brand initiatives, customer service initiatives, and employee knowledge
* Ensure all staff members in your department receive the necessary training and are fully competent in their assigned duties
* Maintain the highest standard of merchandising and presentation within the department at all times
* Attend and actively contribute to management meetings, bringing back insights, updates, and improvements to implement with the team
* Build and share product knowledge across the department, developing improved processes and contributing ideas to enhance performance and customer experience
