The key responsibilities of this position include:
* Assist the National Transport Manager with managing the ROI depos in an effective manner in order to deliver service excellence, goods to customers in the timescales required to maximise shift efficiency
* Assist National Transport Manager and Fleet Supervisor with maintaining company equipment, including vehicles, to a high standard and to ensure all relevant records are maintained in order to conform to legislation
* Manage the team of drivers and assist the National Transport Manager with appraisals, people management ensuring conduct issues are dealt with, and employees are appraised in line with performance standard
* Ensure that all equipment is maintained to company standards and all damages are recorded and stored according to damage procedures.
* Assist National Transport Manager with ensuring the department is operated with compliance to all company audit and legal standards, including Food Safety, Health Safety and Internal Audits.
* Assist with the management of the ROI depots to achieve/exceed service level agreements to the highest standards
* Ensure high levels of engagement in the Transport depos
Key Requirements
- Supervisor experience essential
- Some knowledge of Irish and EU transport regulations
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to resolve Transport/Delivery issues in a timely manner
- Knowledge of multi-drop delivery
