A leading mechanical building services contractor is seeking a
Mechanical Engineering Project Manager
to support its expanding project portfolio across the North West. With a long‑established reputation for high‑quality engineering, complex mechanical installations, and full‑service project delivery, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to technically demanding and high‑profile projects.
About the Role
You will be responsible for managing mechanical engineering projects from initial planning and estimation through to installation, commissioning, and handover. This includes overseeing mechanical services such as heating, ventilation, air handling, water services, and specialised mechanical systems — reflecting the company's core service expertise in commercial, industrial, healthcare, and public‑sector environments.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead all phases of mechanical building services projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality delivery.
* Coordinate with clients, design teams, and subcontractors to ensure clarity, compliance, and progress at every stage.
* Manage programmes, budgets, procurement, and labour resources.
* Ensure all works meet required safety standards, industry regulations, and internal quality benchmarks.
* Support site personnel and provide direction on technical and operational matters.
* Prepare and present project updates, risk assessments, and progress reports to senior management.
* Maintain the high standards of workmanship and professionalism associated with the company's reputation.
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years' experience managing M&E or mechanical projects, ideally within construction or building services.
* Strong leadership capability with excellent communication and decision‑making skills.
* Ability to deliver projects to schedule, to specification, and within commercial targets.
* Full, clean driving licence and flexibility to attend multiple project sites.
* Relevant qualification in Construction, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
