Special Care Worker Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Care Worker to join our team in providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable young people.
The successful candidate will work with children aged 11-17 years, providing a short-term, stabilising intervention in a secure, therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement Care and Placement Plans that promote the rights and well-being of each young person.
* Promote physical, emotional, social, and educational welfare of each young person.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
1. A minimum QQI Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a related field.
2. Alternatively, hold one of the following qualifications along with 18 months' practice in the previous five years:
* Youth and Community Work qualification.
* BA (Hons) Youth and Community Development.
* BA (Hons) Psychology.
* Addiction Studies (Level 7).
* BA (Hons) Counselling and Addiction Studies.
* Disability Diploma (Primary Care).
* Degree in Social Science (minimum Level 7).
* Social Care Qualification (Level 6).
