Come for a job, stay for a career A Day in The Life Of: Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Perform a variety of Engineering Maintenance tasks in the Mechanical and automated control areas.
Fabrication and machining of components and fixtures utilising Lathes, Milling Machines and other workshop equipment, to aid manufacturing.
Ensures maintenance activities are performed and delivered to the required safety and c GMP standards.
Minimise equipment downtime through rapid response to issues, the identification of root cause and implementation of corrective/preventative measures.
Records maintenance activity, corrective actions and root cause of issues in the CMMS system.
Represent the Engineering Maintenance function for equipment design and performance improvement initiatives.
Works from schematics, Engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
Executes preventative maintenance routines in compliance with schedule.
Provide technical support when required to Engineering, Operations, Quality and Safety.
Utilise best in class maintenance tools to support the implementation of the Medtronic Maintenance Excellence process.
Provide technical support to Lean Sigma initiatives/continuous improvement projects or other task/project teams as required.
Assist with Engineering and Manufacturing training.
Key Skills & Experience We are looking for a qualified person with a minimum NFQ Level 6 Mechanical craft certificate or academic qualification in a relevant discipline.
Proven track record of hands-on mechanical and automation maintenance experience.
Experience at using manual lathes, milling machines and other machine tools.
CNC machining experience desirable.
Ability to demonstrate Medtronic mindsets in their work and good presentation skills are desirable.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic team player and can work effectively and proactively on cross-functional teams.
A good communicator and fluent in English, both in writing and speak.
Experienced with computer literacy and team dynamic skills.
Knowledge of automated systems is an advantage.
Must be able to work Evening shift.
