Overview
A world-leading technology company based in Cork is looking to expand its Hardware engineering group by hiring an experienced RISC-V Design Engineer. As a RISC-V Digital Design Engineer, you\'ll design, develop, and implement cutting-edge digital circuits and systems based on the open-source RISC-V instruction set architecture. This role contributes to the next generation of mobile, automotive, IoT, and high-performance computing technologies.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and architect advanced RISC-V CPU cores and micro-architectures.
* Translate high-level requirements into detailed micro-architectural specifications.
* Collaborate with verification, backend, and software teams.
* Perform RTL and gate-level simulations and debugging.
* Optimize designs for area, power, and performance.
* Contribute to innovative IP concepts.
Key Experiences / Qualifications
* Strong experience in digital design, with a focus on CPU architecture and RISC-V.
* Proven experience designing and implementing RISC-V CPU cores.
* Deep understanding of CPU pipeline stages and memory hierarchies.
* Expertise in RTL coding (Verilog/SystemVerilog) and debugging.
* Solid knowledge of SoC architecture and subsystem integration.
* Experience with front-end design tasks (synthesis, STA, formal).
* Familiarity with digital verification methodologies.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
