Due to continued growth, the company is seeking a Commercial Accountant to join its central finance team.This is an exciting opportunity to take on a commercially focused role with significant visibility, where you'll influence project performance, partner with senior stakeholders, and play a key part in shaping financial decisions across multiple locations.The Opportunity:As a Commercial Accountant, you will work at the intersection of finance, operations, and commercial strategy. Your insights will directly support major projects, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial control, and informed decision-making.This role suits someone who enjoys analysing commercial performance, building relationships with project teams, and adding value beyond traditional reporting.Key Responsibilities:Commercial Reporting & AnalysisDeliver weekly and monthly commercial performance reports covering revenue, costs, and margins.Present financial insights to senior stakeholders, highlighting key movements, risks, and opportunities.Analyse trends across multiple European projects and provide commercially focused commentary.Business PartneringCollaborate closely with operational and commercial teams to challenge assumptions and support performance improvement.Follow up on project submissions to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with financial expectations.Identify issues or discussion points and escalate where necessary.Cost Management & Budget SupportTrack project spend, monitor variances, and contribute to budget preparation and reforecasting.Support cost control initiatives and promote financial discipline across project teams.Revenue & Contract AccountingApply knowledge of contract accounting, revenue recognition, and WIP to maintain reliable financial reporting.Reporting ImprovementsAssist with the development of enhanced management reporting and dashboards, including BI tools such as Power BI.Requirements:Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).Strong commercial mindset with the ability to interpret and communicate financial results clearly.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Confident engaging with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced and project-driven environment.Remuneration:A strong base salary and pension will be offered to the successful candidate.If this role is of interest to you, please feel free to reach out to me at If you know of any friends or colleagues who might suit this role and would like to refer them, you will receive a €250 voucher should we successfully place them.
