Réalta Technologies are searching for an Automation Engineer with Allen-Bradley systems experience to support a Medical Device client of ours based in Cork. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years experience working as an Automation Engineer in a manufacturing environment.Responsibilities:
Assist in the programming, testing, and commissioning of Allen-Bradley PLC systems under the guidance of senior engineers.Support troubleshooting and maintenance of existing automation systems to ensure minimal downtime.Work with senior team members to integrate Allen-Bradley PLCs with other industrial systems such as HMI and SCADA.Maintain and update documentation, including PLC code annotations, electrical schematics, and system configuration.Participate in system upgrades, validation processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.Basic knowledge of Allen-Bradley platforms, including Studio 5000 and RSLogix 5000, with a willingness to learn more.Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP or DeviceNet is a plus.Strong problem-solving skills and a keen interest in industrial automation and control systems.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with an eagerness to grow and take on new challenges.
