Opportunity to join a leading energy multinational manufacturing site in East Cork.
The role provides technical design with a focus on safety, schedule and cost management adherence, while complying with good engineering practices, company policies and all applicable regulations and codes of practice.
Responsibilities
Generate detailed scope of work packages for electrical, instrumentation and automation contractors for tender and procurement processes, applying value engineering where possible.
Identify and evaluate instrumentation/automation installations for integrity and efficiency improvements.
Define instrumentation requirements for capital projects and interact with internal and external stakeholders, vendors and contractors for tender negotiation, cost estimates, constructability and safety reviews.
Contribute to project management for instrumentation projects, including cost estimates, planning and schedule reporting.
Qualifications
2-7 years' industry experience.
Degree qualified in Applied Physics & Instrumentation, Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
ATEX (CompEx) qualification (1–4).
Broad experience with instrumentation, control and safety systems, and high/medium/low voltage equipment and motor control.
