Head of Finance (Part Time) – Mifid Firm (Wealth & Asset Management)
Our client, a leading Wealth and Asset Management firm, is expanding its European footprint and establishing a new regulated entity in Dublin. The firm seeks an experienced Head of Finance (PCF-11) to join the Board and Executive Committee, providing financial leadership and governance oversight as the firm sets up its EU hub from Ireland and commences its growth journey.
This is a rare opportunity to join the leadership team of a newly established firm backed by one of the UK’s most respected wealth managers. The role offers genuine strategic influence, autonomy, and visibility at Board level, while maintaining a balanced, part-time structure.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all financial matters, including working capital, cash flow, and investment decisions
* Provide analytical insight into firm performance, profitability, and cost efficiency
* Advise the Board and Executive Committee on the financial impact of strategic initiatives
* Develop and maintain robust financial controls and governance structures
* Manage all financial reporting and management information for the Board, Group, and regulators
* Serve as a Board and Executive Committee member, contributing to firm-wide strategy and governance
* Oversee financial compliance, audit, tax, and banking relationships
* Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisers, and regulatory stakeholders
* Support strong oversight of client transactions and reconciliations
* Actively participate in the Audit, Risk, and Investment Oversight Committees
The Individual
* Chartered or Certified Accountant (mandatory) with deep technical knowledge of accounting standards
* Experience as a PCF-11 or demonstrable eligibility under the CBI's Fitness & Probity regime
* Wealth management, DFM, or broader investment management experience preferred
* Strong understanding of Irish and EU regulatory environments (CBI, ESMA, MiFID)
* Proven ability to design and implement effective financial control frameworks
* Strategic thinker with hands‑on operational capability
* Confident communicator with Board-level gravitas and sound commercial judgement
