Job Title: Senior Operations Manager
About the Role:
The Senior Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the IT leadership team in ensuring the smooth and effective running of the CIO office. This position is responsible for managing the forward agenda, coordinating inputs for key meetings, and enabling a structured operating cadence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Diary and Forward Agenda Management:
o Proactively manage the CIO's schedule with a 10-week forward view, ensuring sufficient time is allocated for preparation, feedback, and strategic discussion.
o Coordinate and align diaries for key leadership and governance meetings.
o Anticipate and flag potential clashes or pinch points well in advance.
* Meeting Preparation and Execution:
o E nsure all inputs into CIO meetings (e.g., governance forums, leadership updates, 1:1s) are prepared to a high standard and received on time from relevant contributors.
o Work with senior leadership team members to ensure briefing materials are timely, accurate, and aligned to meeting outcomes.
o Track post-meeting actions and follow up with accountable owners.
* Team and Leadership Cadence:
o Drive an effective operating rhythm for the IT leadership team, including regular planning, check-ins, and follow-up sessions.
o Ensure meetings are purposeful and that decisions are escalated appropriately with non-critical items routed through the leadership team.
* CIO Support and Time Optimization:
o Act as the first point of triage for the CIO's time, making sure priorities align with strategic and operational focus areas.
o Ensure the CIO has adequate time and information to review, provide feedback, and make informed decisions.
o Support preparation of internal communications, updates, and presentations on behalf of the CIO.
