Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager
Salary: €35K - €40K plus package
Job Description:
An esteemed food manufacturing organization is seeking a Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager to provide crucial support to the Technical Manager. As an integral member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality across all areas of production, from storage and transportation to supplier management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and manage robust Food Safety Management Systems that adhere to current legislation and industry-recognized standards.
* Lead and coordinate internal HACCP teams, overseeing the maintenance of high-quality standards through regular auditing programs.
* Engage with regulatory authorities, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and industry-specific requirements, including audits and inspections by third-party organizations (BRC, Bord Bia, LEAF).
* Manage supplier and product approval protocols, guaranteeing alignment with organizational objectives.
* Conduct thorough audits to ensure FSMS compliance and resolve any issues within the team.
* Ensure timely completion of required food safety training and review materials to meet standard requirements.
* Foster collaboration among the Management Team to align with FS&Q objectives.
* Maintain satisfactory resolution of FSQ operational issues and consumer complaints.
* Guarantee adherence to site hygiene and pest control standards.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
* A Science or Food Science qualification is essential.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in technical quality management is required.
* Proficiency in HACCP/Food Safety Management systems knowledge.
* Experience in implementing and managing Quality Management Systems (QMS).
* Strong flexibility, quick learning abilities, problem-solving skills, effective communication, and organizational capabilities are necessary.
* A full driver's license and access to a car are required.
* EU work authorization is mandatory.
