The position of Prevention and Family Support Services Manager is a key role within the organization, responsible for leading the development and implementation of prevention and early intervention services for children and families.

About the Role

* This senior management position will oversee the delivery of prevention and family support services, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement effective strategies and initiatives.
">
* The successful candidate will have significant experience in leading and managing teams, as well as developing and maintaining strong partnerships with external agencies and stakeholders.
">
* They will also be responsible for analyzing complex problems, developing business models to investigate options, and evaluating risk within a changing environment.
">
Main Duties and Responsibilities
">
The Prevention and Family Support Services Manager will be responsible for:
">
1. Conducting local assessments of child and family needs and strengths in their area
">
2. Identifying optimum catchment areas for the development of Child and Family Support Networks (CFSNs)
">
3. Developing strong partnership arrangements with agencies funded by the Agency and agencies that provide services locally to children and families
">
4. Coordinating and line managing CFSN Coordinators and supporting them in their role
">
5. Contributing to service development and improvement across the continuum of services provided through the National Service Delivery Framework
">
6. Assisting the Area Manager to adopt a new approach to commissioning in line with Tusla National Policies
">
7. Reporting and advising on progress with the implementation of the area-based approach to prevention, partnership, and family support
">
8. Oversseeing the implementation of appropriate induction and probationary systems with key staff
">
9. Oversieving the implementation of an appropriate performance management system for the delivery of high-quality prevention and early intervention type family support services
">
10. Keeping updated on current and impending legislation and the perceived impact on practice
">
11. Keeping abreast of developments in national policies and strategies and international best practice
">
12. Ensuring service delivery corresponds to best national and international practice
">
13. Ensuring services comply with relevant HR and other policies, procedures, and guidelines
">
14. Conributing to the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines in relation to the national service delivery framework engaging staff as appropriate
">
15. Participating in and contributing to service planning and development
">
16. Formulating and reviewing the Agency service plan and contributing to the overall Agency plan in consultation with other Heads of Service
">
17. Providing service delivery reports as required e.g. service plan, annual report
">
18. Ensuring there are appropriate systems in place to gather relevant information
">
19. Ensuring compliance with a high standard of documentation, including service user files in accordance with local guidelines and the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act
">
20. Oversieving service user and data confidentiality
">
21. Collaborating with the Area Manager, Children, Youth and Families or equivalent in developing the role of the Senior Manager for Prevention, Partnership & Family Support and the team e.g. through planning, audit, production of standards, continuing education, quality improvement initiatives, and research
">
22. Collaborating with the Children & Young People's Services Committee and Co-ordinator to advance Tusla's Early intervention and Prevention work
">
23. Ensuring the Meitheal Early Intervention National Practice Model makes the most efficient and effective use of developments in IT
">
24. Maintaining standards of practice and levels of professional knowledge by participating in continuous professional development initiatives and attendance at courses as appropriate
">
25. Engaging in career and professional development planning
">
26. Oversieving the provision of a framework for the promotion of staff and Agency development and training by making recommendations with regard to the ongoing education, mentoring, and training needs of Agency staff and partners
">
27. Building and communicating an understanding of the role of the prevention and early intervention services and their integration with Social Work and other services
">
28. Complying with and contributing to the development of policies, procedures, guidelines, and safe professional practice and adhering to relevant legislation, regulations, and standards
">
29. Having a working knowledge of HIQA Standards as they apply to the role for example, Standards for Healthcare, National Standards for the Prevention and Control of Healthcare Associated Infections, Hygiene Standards etc.

30. To support, promote, and actively participate in sustainable energy, water, and waste initiatives to create a more sustainable, low carbon, and efficient health service
