Responsibilities
* Report to the Project Director and manage a team of engineers in the execution of the project scope, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
* Develop construction execution plans, schedules and subcontract work scopes as required for project delivery.
* Manage day-to-day Health and Safety matters on the project and ensure Company Safety Management procedures are implemented.
* Supervise activities to protect the Safety, Health and Welfare of employees, client employees, contractors and others affected by the Client’s operations.
* Ensure Method Statements, Risk Assessments, SPAs, and client permits are completed for relevant tasks.
* Plan all aspects of the work from initiation through execution and closure for materials, subcontract packages and craft requirements.
* Manage the site supervision team, including engineers and craft supervisors.
* Collaborate with the scheduler, engineers and foremen to develop constructability reports and project schedules.
* Establish subcontractor work scope execution plans with the assigned QS, including generating work scopes, tendering and awarding of works, and controlling costs, schedule, quality and safety.
* Liaise with workshops on prefabrication planning and coordinate works, prioritizations, test requirements and documentation.
* Generate weekly/monthly progress reporting to the client and representatives in a timely and professional manner.
* Work with Quantity Surveyors on cost management, including pricing of variations and reworks, progress reports, and negotiations with clients and sub-contractors.
* Attend internal and client site meetings as necessary for successful stakeholder outcomes.
* Oversee time worked and adapt to and implement site change requests as they arise.
* Inspect all works for compliance with safety requirements, technical specifications and design.
* Coordinate with QA/QC to ensure compliance of the work scope with standards, client specifications and industry requirements.
* Oversee the assembly of handover packages to the customer.
* Complete other tasks assigned by the Project Manager/Project Director.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in Construction Management with mechanical emphasis on project delivery.
* Strong knowledge of health and safety practices and regulatory requirements.
* Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
