Job Summary Booking Holdings Financial Services Ireland, is looking for a Compliance Manager with strong experience from the payments industry to act as a critical partner to our business, helping develop, launch, and enable our mission to deliver a world-class payments operation to support Booking Holdings Inc's brands globally.
The selected candidate will have the chance to witness firsthand the investment in digital technology that helps take the friction out of travel.
The Compliance Manager will assist in ensuring the business complies with laws, regulatory requirements, policies and procedures across Ireland and EEA business.
The Compliance Manager will report directly to theDirector of Compliance.
Harnessing the strategic vision of the company this role will be responsible for establishing standards and implementing procedures to ensure that the compliance programs throughout the organisation are effective and efficient in identifying, preventing, detecting and correcting noncompliance with applicable laws and regulations and producing useful management information to support the business as it continues to scale.
Given the collaborative nature of the business you will be consistently business partnering with the product, operations, engineering and marketing teams to ensure you understand the intricacies of operations.
You will support directly a dynamic organization of executives, legal experts, risk managers, product managers, finance and treasury professionals, software and hardware engineers, designers, deal makers, and operations specialists who are responsible for bringing products to life across Booking Holdings Inc's global portfolio of brands, and making an impact on millions of travellers per day.

Key Responsibilities The Compliance Manager will be part of the Compliance team and be instrumental in ensuring the business meets its strategic objectives under the umbrella of the Booking Holdings Inc family of Brands, with a particular focus on Ireland and EEA.
You will provide assurance to the Director of Compliance that there are effective and efficient policies and procedures and controls in place to manage compliance and regulatory risks, and that the company is complying with its regulatory requirements.
The Compliance Manager will:
Undertake ongoing horizon scanning of regulatory developments to identify and preempt forthcoming changes to the organisations compliance obligations and compliance risk profile, and ensure requirements are met in a timely manner.
Develop and maintain key compliance policies ensuring that all Compliance policies and procedures comply with regulatory requirements.
Monitor the adequacy and effectiveness of the compliance program and tools (including, AML, Outsourcing, Complaint Management, F&P, Consumer Protection etc.
)
Conduct compliance reviews and provide compliance sign off of product requirements documents and delivery of regulatory compliance requirements to support the BHFS Program of work with a particular focus on financial crime risk management regulatory requirements for CDD/KYC, screening, ongoing monitoring, enhanced due diligence and STR reporting and filing.
Act as subject matter expert and escalation point on Compliance and FCRM related matters within the business.
Assist in the development of the annual compliance work plan and update this periodically.
Develop out the Consumer Protection Risk Management Framework.
including risk and control assessments across various business units.
Coordinate internal compliance reviews and audit activities for the Compliance function.
Assist in preparation of clear and concise Compliance reports for reporting to the Board and Committees.
Engage and communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, suppliers, regulators, and other internal and external stakeholders.
Provide compliance guidance, advice, and/or training and educational programs, to improve business' understanding of related laws and regulatory requirements.
Support regulatory reporting submissions where required ensuring that all deadlines are met as required and liaise and follow-up with the business on regulatory reporting obligations where necessary.
Maintain oversight and sign off on behalf of Compliance on product and marketing materials as well as customer facing communications.
Lead the design and provision of training to the business on Compliance related topics as part of the annual training program.
Demonstrate ethical leadership and business integrity.
Actively contribute to embedding and promoting a compliance culture within the business.
Knowledge and Skills Minimum 5 years Compliance/Regulatory experience in a regulated financial services business which must include a significant amount of experience in the payments/ e-money sector.
Background in law, accounting, finance or related disciplines.
Demonstrated experience dealing with financial services regulators.
Strong knowledge of EU payment and e-money regulations, financial crime regulations including AML and Financial Sanctions.
Degree in finance, economics, accounting, law or related field.
CAMS-certification or Professional Diploma in Compliance(LCI)
Strong knowledge of Irish and EU financial services regulatory frameworks.
Excellent knowledge of Irish AML/CTF, Payment Services and Consumer Protection regulations.
Knowledge of F & P and Outsourcing requirements.
Experience of working with integrated assurance models across Legal, Risk, Audit and Compliance functions.
Ability to understand and articulate business and regulatory requirements clearly and concisely so that these can be implemented with our internal and external stakeholders.
Project and Regulatory Change Management skills would be advantageous.
Previous experience working in a Fintech environment with a variety of Fintech/ Regtech tools is highly desirable.
Experience with enhancing the compliance culture within organisations.
Providing relevant training and regular updates to heighten staff's compliance awareness.
The ability to take ownership and accountability of compliance deliverables and work autonomously to deliver.
Ideally have experience of managing the conduct risk and compliance requirements of strategic initiatives.
Experience in implementing compliance frameworks at dynamic, scaling and innovative companies with a global reach.
