Job DescriptionLocation:Roadstone, Cookstown Road, FortunestownRoadstone Ltd is seeking an experienced Sustainability Officer to cover maternity contract for up to 12 months. This is a critical role to maintain momentum on key initiatives and ensure a smooth, high-performing period for the team.The Sustainability Officer will have responsibility for all aspects of sustainability data reporting across the full portfolio of operations within fellow CRH companies, Roadstone Ltd and Northstone Materials Ltd.BenefitsCompetitive SalaryPension Scheme with up to 10% employer contributionShare Participation Scheme (Revenue Approved)Paid Holidays (22 days)Training & Development Opportunities.Employee Assistance ProgrammeFree parkingProduct discountBike-to-Work SchemeAbout The RoleKey Areas of Responsibility:Manage sustainability reporting data and metrics across Ireland Materials, including decarbonisation reporting within Ireland Materials and to CRH for 2030 and net‑zero targets.Develop and maintain KPIs to track sustainability project performance and support the continued rollout of the CO₂ Performance Ladder across Roadstone.Collaborate with Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality & Technical, Operations, and Commercial teams to reduce Scope 3 emissions and embed sustainability across the business.Lead sustainability communications to customers, including EPD development, carbon footprint reporting.Support the development and advancement of low‑carbon and sustainable product solutions, working closely with technical and commercial teams to bring innovations to market.Drive rollout of the Supply Chain Sustainability School, promoting training across colleagues, suppliers, and customer programmes, and reporting training engagement and impact.Engage externally with key stakeholders, including participation in industry events, CPD delivery, and supporting the development of sustainability content for publications, website, and training.The following knowledge, skills and competencies are required for this role:Third level qualification- degree or equivalent.Proactive, organised and results driven with a positive attitude.An ability to operate to strict timelines/deadlines in order to produce results and meet business objectives.Strong level of accuracy and detail focus required.Excellent communication and presentation skillsStrong computer literacy skills.Deadline for applications is 5pm Tuesday the 24th of February 2026Skills NeededAbout The CompanyRoadstone's nationwide business includes the manufacture and distribution of a wide range of construction products including ready-mix concrete, aggregates, asphalt and macadam, mortar and plaster, concrete blocks and masonry, paving products, roof tiles and agricultural lime.
