Technical Support Engineer / IT Deployment Engineer – Day Rate Contract
Location: Cork City Centre
On-site: 5 days per week
Contract: 9 months initial day rate with view to on-going extensions
Position Overview
We are seeking multiple technical professionals to manage a high-volume mobile asset rollout for a major utility provider based in Cork. In this fast-paced, hands-on role, you will handle the technical preparation, staging, and provisioning of hardware prior to a nationwide distribution.
Core Duties:
Execute the technical configuration, testing, and quality assurance of mobile hardware.
Manage device enrollment and remote management profiles utilizing Microsoft Intune.
Package end-user equipment kits and coordinate deployment logistics.
Diagnose and resolve technical glitches relating to applications, device setups, and enrollment errors.
Maintain precise inventory tracking data and update deployment documentation regularly.
Escalate complex technical roadblocks to higher-level support teams when necessary.
Experience
What We Are Looking For:
A proven professional background in technical support, desktop administration, or hardware deployment.
Direct experience administering and enrolling hardware within the Microsoft Intune ecosystem.
Hands-on experience with Android device configuration and support
Configure, stage, and provision Samsung Android devices for deployment
Excellent structured multitasking abilities to handle high-volume technical tasks under tight deadlines.
Outstanding communication skills paired with a collaborative team mindset.
Familiarity with automated enrollment systems like Android Enterprise or Zero-Touch protocols.
Exposure to asset tracking, inventory control, and broader Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms.
