Job Title: Shift Manager (Nightshift) Location: County Meath, Ireland Salary: €64,000 Working hours: 11pm - 7am Mon - Thursday and 7pm - 1am on Friday's Description We are hiring for our client, a well-established manufacturing business, who are seeking an experienced Shift Manager to lead the nightshift operation.
Working on a permanent nightshift, the Shift Manager will organise, co-ordinate, and maximise production performance based on customer requirements, machine productivity, and effective use of people and materials.
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Shift Manager will play a key role in driving safety, quality, performance, and continuous improvement across the plant.

The Role Organise and co-ordinate nightly production to meet customer requirements and daily plans.
Promote safe working practices, and ensure company safety standards are understood and followed by everyone on shift.
Maximise productivity by increasing run speeds, reducing downtime, and optimising labour and materials.
Ensure all product produced on the shift is of the highest quality and meets specification.
Manage the night-to-night personnel operations of the plant, including allocation of work and support of your team.
Lead and standardise processes, ensuring consistency across teams and lines.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the plant.
Prepare clear nightly handover reports for the incoming shift and the Production Manager.
The Person 3-5 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within a production or manufacturing environment.
A technical or industrial engineering qualification is desirable but not essential.
Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to lead by example and get the best from teams.
Confident, assertive communicator who can effectively engage up, down, and across the business.
Positive, "can do" attitude and driven by achievement and success.
Proven organisational skills, able to prioritise and manage multiple demands on a busy shift.
Solid knowledge of machinery and production processes.
Experience of identifying improvement opportunities and delivering continuous improvement activities.
Familiarity with continuous improvement tools and techniques.
