As a Planner, you will play a crucial role in the success of our projects by overseeing the coordination and scheduling of all design and construction activities. This is a unique opportunity to join an ambitious construction company that values relationships, teamwork, innovation, and excellence.

REPORTING TO: Senior Planner

Purpose of Role As a Planner with Flynn you will be responsible for the coordination and organization of construction projects, developing schedules, coordination of workers and resources, and the monitoring of project progression.

Role Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules to ensure timely completion of construction projects.
* Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to create project plans that align with client expectations and project deadlines.
* Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or roadblocks, implementing corrective actions as needed.
* Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and availability of materials and resources.
* Conduct site visits to assess project progress and update project schedules accordingly.
* Provide regular progress reports to project stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, risks, and opportunities.
* Review and analyse project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify potential conflicts or risks.

The Candidate

* Bachelor's degree in a construction related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction planning, scheduling, or related role
* Expert in construction scheduling software P6, Asta and Microsoft Project.
* Effective track record in Earned Value Methodology and scheduling for NEC contracts.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address potential issues.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
