Operations Supervisor - Evening Shift - Sligo

Location – Onsite Sligo
Shift - Monday to Thursday 3.30pm to midnight; Friday 2.30pm to 10pm
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Operations & Supply Chain Senior Manager, the Operations Supervisor will lead and oversee the Moulding & Extrusion teams, Assembly Teams, and Warehouse Team, ensuring high performance and compliance.
1. Drive team performance and collaborate with other teams to optimize output.
2. Resolve operational issues, implement procedural changes, and increase line speeds or throughput.
3. Ensure adherence to all procedures, GMP regulations, quality standards, record keeping, and validation protocols.
4. Implement corrective and preventive actions based on quality assessments.
5. Manage team attendance, absenteeism, overtime, and occupational health concerns.
6. Foster positive employee relations, promoting open communication and knowledge sharing within the plant.
7. Oversee training and development, ensuring employees reach their full potential and acquire necessary skills.
8. Manage team through coaching and leadership by example.
9. Promote continuous improvement and manage change effectively.
10. Maintain financial efficiency regarding materials and labor.
11. Assist in scheduling and planning activities.
Support for Projects:
* Process development, optimization, and validation
* Material selection and qualification
* Equipment and mould procurement
* Management of capital projects
* Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) compliance
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise Manufacturing Operators and Process Service Operators.
EHS Responsibilities:
* Promote safety culture and continuous improvement.
* Maintain a zero-accident safety record.
* Ensure compliance with environmental and safety policies, including incident reporting and investigations.
Qualifications:
* Relevant third-level qualification.
Knowledge & Skills:
* Proven leadership in people management.
* Innovative approach to work.
* Minimum three years supervisory experience in GMP manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or regulated industries.
* Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Effective human relations skills across all employee levels.
