Reperio has partnered with an established technology services firm seeking a Software Developer (.NET/C#) to join a high-performance team delivering robust application solutions across diverse technologies and customer environments.
In this role, you will work closely with customers to maintain, enhance, and modernise applications, taking on both hands-on development and consultancy responsibilities. You'll have the opportunity to influence technical direction, work with modern architectures, support legacy transformation, and continue advancing your professional skillset.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, implement and support business applications using C# and the .NET ecosystem (for example .NET 6/7, Core).
2. Create, optimise and maintain backend services, APIs and microservices architectures.
3. Write clean, robust and well-tested code, with a focus on unit testing, integration testing and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) practices.
4. Work on data-intensive features: large data transforms / integrations, data service extracts, reporting, messaging bus systems.
5. Help modernise legacy applications: refactoring older .NET codebases, migrating to modern frameworks and cloud/environments as appropriate.
6. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (product, UX, DevOps) to deliver high-quality solutions.
7. Develop and maintain best-practice documentation and contribute to evolving architectural/engineering guidelines.
Requirements:
8. Proven experience developing in C#/.NET and (Core or Framework).
9. Strong experience with SQL development.
10. Experience with JavaScript frameworks or libraries (front-end or full-stack integration).
11. Experience building microservices, or working in distributed systems (service-oriented, message bus, orchestration).
12. Proven experience in large-scale data transformations, data service extracts and reporting.
13. Familiarity with message bus systems or multi-bus messaging architectures.
14. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, unit testing and automated testing.
15. Good knowledge of the Microsoft technology stack (., Visual Studio, Azure or on-premise Microsoft stack).
16. Ability to play a senior role in the team: provide guidance, handle escalations, influence direction.
Desirable:
17. Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) or hybrid cloud infrastructure.
18. Experience modernising legacy systems (migrations, re-architecting for microservices).
19. Experience with orchestration frameworks (., Kubernetes, Azure Service Fabric) or containerisation.
20. Exposure to DevOps practices, infrastructure as code (IaC), and observability/monitoring tools.
