Role Overview
The IT Systems Support Specialist will support the installation, validation, and maintenance of a wide range of computerized instrument systems in both laboratory and manufacturing environments. This role ensures compliance with cybersecurity, data integrity, lifecycle management, and applicable quality standards.
Educational Qualifications / Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
* Equivalent industry experience in lieu of degree will be considered
* Experience in pharmaceutical or other regulated industries preferred
Key Skills & Preferences
* Knowledge of GxP, data integrity, and computer system validation (CSV)
* Strong interpersonal skills, effective decision-making abilities, and ability to handle repetitive tasks under time pressure
* Experience with Active Directory, identity and access management, and SOP development
Key Responsibilities
* Gain in-depth knowledge of IT functionality for analytical equipment to support installation, upgrade, validation, and maintenance
* Draft and update IT-related SOPs and procedures
* Execute computer system validation deliverables for both new and existing projects
* Train and support users on proper use of computerized analytical equipment
* Administer user accounts in Active Directory (AD) and other identity management systems
* Maintain proper access controls using role-based security models
* Manage AD environments, including user/group management, OUs, and Group Policies
* Serve as a liaison between corporate IT teams and local business units
* Keep systems and applications up-to-date with current supported versions
* Actively participate in team meetings and audit activities
