Vice President, Product Management
Reporting to: Chief Product Officer
LOCATION

PURPOSE
Afiniti is looking for a Vice President, Product who is passionate about applied AI and has a track record of delivering worldclass Machine Learning and Conversational AI products. Primary objectives of the role include retaining and grow revenue by creating repeatable solutions that capitalize on our AI heritage and driving the transition from high-touch managed services toward Product led growth.
In this role, you will work with a team of senior level Product Managers, with a background in Data, AI and Research, while building the next generation of contact centre technology. You will assure product delivery against the overall company strategy, focusing on 3 key pillars: Customer Retention, Customer Expansion and Operational Excellence.
Our product team understand the landscape of the market and are the voice of the Customer in the organization. They set the product vision, strategy for development and are responsible for bringing the product to market, as well as ensuring its continued success in life through feature additions and maintenance. They work directly with our clients, our partners and the wider markets to identify their needs and opportunities for benefit with our AI technology, and then translate these into product features and drive the delivery and adoption through the organization.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop a robust product roadmap, that aligns with business objectives and overall company strategy around customer retention, expansion and operational excellence.
* Work with the Product Management team to deliver on roadmap deliverables in line with the product strategy, GTM and revenue generation, defining scope, with features, marketing collateral, technical documentation and a client-facing product vision;
* Implement best practice, define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and use data-driven insights to make product decisions and optimize performance;
* Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Ensure cross-functional ideas input alignment and effective communication across teams, whilst assuring all activities align with product strategy and roadmap;
* Oversee the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products that meet market demands and exceed customer expectations;
* Champion the voice of the customer in all product decisions. Leverage customer insights and feedback, data analytics, and market research to identify opportunities for prioritised sets of features, user stories and requirements. Utilise feedback and input in long-term product strategy;
* Work closely with R&D as a trusted partners, to convert research insights and outcomes into prototypes, that can become profitable and cutting-edge products;
* Collaborate closely with board of director, executive leadership, marketing, sales, engineering, and other key stakeholders to ensure product initiatives and strategy are aligned with business objectives and develop effective GTM and pricing strategies. Work with key stakeholders to define expansion goals that align with product progress and new characteristics;
* Partner with functional teams to understand challenges and develop solutions that address business needs;
* Develop and deliver compelling business cases and influence stakeholders towards decision making;
* Represent Afiniti in public events, conferences and publications, as an advocate for AI Innovation;
* Stay ahead of industry trends and competitive landscape in the AI space. Identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation to maintain the company’s competitive edge in the market;
YOU WILL HAVE
* Minimum 5 years of experience within Enterprise, SaaS, B2B product management leadership;
* Proven record in delivering successful AI products, with rapid profitability;
* Significant experience building AI product roadmaps and developing new product GTM strategies;
* Deep product and feature knowledge in AI optimization, Machine learning and deep learning;
* Deep understanding of AI/ML, Generative AI (speech, Conversational AI);
* Proven track record of delivering AI cutting edge products, ideally within Generative AI and Conversational AI, with significant revenue outcomes;
* Experience delivering products and features within cloud environments;
* Exposure to big data technologies, such as AWS EMR, Google Dataproc and similar;
* Strong executor who can demonstrate experience professionalising and optimising product teams, subsequently improving execution capabilities.
* Strong ability to engage with audiences and to act to both inform and inspire those around you.
