Job Description
As a skilled Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for leading projects from inception to completion. Your key objective will be to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Developing project plans and schedules, and implementing them on site.
2. Providing leadership and guidance to team members.
3. Chairing progress meetings and ensuring that planned actions are taken.
4. Liaising with the design team, project team and subcontractors to ensure seamless communication.
5. Managing the day-to-day activities of projects, including coordinating resources and managing timelines.
6. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
7. Coordinating project activities in accordance with the company's quality system and standard quality procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* 5+ years' experience as a Contracts Manager in construction.
* Experience in public contract construction and private construction is ideal.
* Experience in managing residential developments is desirable.
* Candidates must be able to take responsibility for multiple projects concurrently.
* Third-level qualification in construction management or civil engineering.
* Excellent delegation and organisational skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Good knowledge of quality and safety management systems.
* Good IT skills with the ability to generate detailed site reports.
* Ability to drive projects forward and work to tight deadlines.
* Understanding of Health & Safety requirements within Irish construction sites.
* Full Irish driving licence.
