Multi award winning Keltech Engineering are now recruiting for an experienced Forklift Driver for our Dispatch team.
A Dispatch Forklift Driver at Keltech is responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe handling, movement, and dispatch of goods within our Final Assembly Dept. This role involves operating forklifts to load and unload goods, organizing inventory, and ensuring that dispatch operations are conducted smoothly and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
* Forklift Operations: Safely operate forklifts (counterbalance, reach, or other types) to transport goods and materials within the dispatch area.
* Loading and Unloading: Load and unload trucks, containers, or pallets in an accurate and timely manner.
* Stock Management: Organize and maintain inventory within the warehouse, including stock rotation and proper placement.
* Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety guidelines, including forklift operating procedures and warehouse safety protocols.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, dispatch activities, and any discrepancies.
* Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular checks on forklifts and report any maintenance or safety issues.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dispatch and warehouse teams to meet operational deadlines and resolve issues.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Valid forklift license (e.g., Counterbalance, Reach, or other certifications as required).
* Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
* Strong understanding of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
* Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
* Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy items (if required).
* Experience and knowledge of inventory management systems and working with documentation
* Effective communication and teamwork skills. (Fluent English is essential)
