Job Opportunity: Procurement Manager (Category Management / FMCG)

About the Role
Our client, a leading multinational in Dublin, is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager with a strong background in Category Management and Procurement within the FMCG sector. This hybrid role offers a competitive salary range of €65-70k and an excellent benefits package. If you have 3+ years of procurement experience and are ready to drive sourcing excellence, this could be the perfect fit.

Location: West Dublin (Hybrid)
Salary: €65-70k + bonus & benefits


Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead Procurement Operations: Oversee and streamline procurement processes to ensure cost-efficiency and alignment with company objectives.
2. Develop Procurement Strategy: Implement strategies to meet corporate goals and enhance supplier engagement.
3. Supplier Relationship Management: Act as a Supplier Relationship Manager, building strong partnerships and managing supply chain risks.
4. Sourcing and Negotiation: Identify and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal pricing and quality.
5. Policy Compliance: Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and ethical standards.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the Sourcing Manager, Supply Chain Manager, and Acquisition Manager to optimize inventory and minimize costs.
7. Market Insights: Keep senior management informed of market trends and emerging opportunities.
8. Reporting: Provide accurate, timely reporting on procurement activities to support decision-making.


Key Requirements:

1. Experience: Minimum of 3 years in procurement within the FMCG sector is essential, ideally in a multinational environment.
2. Education: Third-level qualification in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
3. Proven Expertise: Demonstrated success as a Procurement Manager, Category Manager, or Sourcing Manager.
4. Skills: Strong negotiation, organizational, and time-management skills, with proficiency in procurement software and MS Office.
5. Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced setting.
6. Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to support strategic sourcing.
