Responsibilities
Support the project’s Directorate in developing and implementing the interface strategy, covering project lifecycle, contracts, systems, and stakeholder collaboration
Review and update the Interface Agreement with TII to ensure alignment with the project’s delivery needs
Consult relevant TII departments and address integration issues with external stakeholders and other TII projects
Communicate and collaborate with the Client Partner to implement the interface strategy
Coordinate inputs and manage relationships with external stakeholders (e.g., councils, transport authorities) according to agreements
Identify key interfaces, ensuring clear responsibilities and effective management
Coordinate projects and work packages to meet delivery requirements and maintain communication with stakeholders
Plan and execute according to HSSEQ, scope, time, and cost parameters
Oversee physical site security when necessary
Provide technical guidance and support for efficient delivery
Coordinate with project teams on specifications, supervision, testing, and acceptance of completed works
Contribute to project management processes and procedures
Ensure functional interfaces across various aspects (electrical, mechanical, architectural, structural)
Qualifications
Minimum 15 years’ professional experience with at least 7 years’ experience in interface management / construction management / project management in high value and large-scale metro rail projects
At least Bachelor’s degree (Honours Bachelor Degree) (or equivalent) in relevant subject area e.g., engineering, construction, project management or Master’s degree or Postgraduate Diploma in a relevant field would be advantageous
Associate Member / Member or equivalent of an appropriate institution e.g. SCSI / RICS, CIOB, IEI or similar, CIArb
Six Sigma certification (or equivalent) preferable
Experience managing project delivery from concept to handover
Integrating complex projects
Overseeing contractors, consultants, and advisors in large, regulated construction projects (including NEC contracts)
Delivering projects within regulated and unionised environments
Leading and promoting a positive safety culture, especially in safety-critical settings such as metro/rail
Promoting best practices in technical processes, policies, and standards
Engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels to improve processes and support project delivery and reporting
Manage multiple technical requirements and teams in construction
Drive efficiency in technical outputs
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Foster collaboration within the project team
Ensure high-quality service delivery and effective governance
Address and resolve unforeseen risks and issues
Excellent stakeholder negotiation and management skills
