The RoleThis role is supporting Middle Office Operations and is critical to executing key risk and control activities that strengthen resiliency and business outcomes in partnership with the operations team.Why This Role MattersAs the Fund Ecosystem continues to evolve, this role helps ensure that resiliency and control practices are executed consistently and transparently. You will contribute to protecting clients and the business by supporting disciplined risk management and strengthening operational resilience across key processes.In this role you willExecute Control Health Activities - Perform and support control health activities across manual, automated, and emerging technology-enabled controls, including documentation, testing coordination, and issue trackingMaintain Critical & High-Risk Process Inventory - Help maintain and update inventories of critical and high-risk processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with enterprise frameworksEnable Automation Efforts - Contribute to initiatives that support automation of controls and reporting by gathering requirements, documenting processes, and partnering with technology and risk teamsClarify Risk & Control Responsibilities - Support documentation of business ownership for risk and control responsibilities and assist in educating stakeholders on expectationsReporting & Insights - Prepare materials, dashboards, and summaries that communicate resiliency health, control effectiveness, and emerging risks to business partners and leadershipWhat it takesWorking knowledge of risk management and control frameworks in a regulated or operational environmentExperience supporting control health, RCSAs, internal audit, or operational risk activitiesStrong attention to detail with the ability to analyze data and produce clear, actionable reportingEffective communication and collaboration skills, with comfort working across multiple teamFamiliarity with Archer or similar GRC tools preferredAbility to operate effectively in structured programs while adapting to evolving requirementsSpecial FactorsVanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this positionThis is a hybrid position and would require you to work in the office 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday)Inclusion StatementVanguard’s continued commitment to diversity and inclusion is firmly rooted in our culture.
