Due to continued expansion, MSC have an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer with a strong background in clean air equipment (BSCs, LAFs, isolators, fume hoods and more.) installation, commissioning, and service.Our Clean Air team is growing, and we are recruiting for Field Service Engineers across Ireland. will be responsible for the installation, commissioning and follow up support and service for clean air equipment located throughout the island of Ireland. As a result, willingness to travel will be critical. There will also be a requirement, on occasion, for overnight stays.A set number of weekends per year must be worked – premium pay applies.Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for providing on-site service of laboratory equipment repairing / routine preventive maintenance service in Ireland and N IrelandInstallation, maintenance, testing and repairing equipmentTroubleshoot minor software problems, upgrade firmwareProvide training to customersEnsure product and service quality achievementBuild and maintain relationships with our customersPromote and grow the service business of MSCCooperation with MSC Sales Team to identify and progress opportunity for the sale of new equipmentAttributesEssential: Experience as a field service engineerEssential: Full clean EU driving licenceEssential: NFQ Level 6 Qualification in mechanical engineering / electrical engineering / biomedical engineering / mechatronic engineering / HVAC or similarDesirable: Experience with clean air installation, commissioning and service.Desirable: CTCB-I certificationCurrent passport and willingness to travel abroad for product trainingExcellent IT skillsGood communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently, be self-motivated, and manage own workload
