Part Qualified Accountant required with 3 years plus experience for a Galway based company.Accounting Technician qualification is an advantage. Hybrid (3 days in office).
Reporting to Financial Controller
Responsibilities:
* Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues, costs, liabilities & assets)
* Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets, income statements and cash flows)
* Perform month-end and year-end close processes
* Manage tax payments
* Oversee Bank & Balance Sheet Reconciliations
* Preparation of audit files & support liaising with auditors
* Organize internal audits
* Support the preparation of budgets (for the entire company and by department)
* Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies
* Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments
* Analysis of financial trends
* Prepare timely VAT/Intrastat returns through ROS
* General administration & office filing and all other job-related tasks as required
* Additional duties as assigned by Manager/CFO
Requirements:
* Minimum 2/3 years experience in over all accounts and IATI qualification an advantage
* Solid understanding ofbasic accountingprinciples, fair credit practices and collection regulations
* Excellent administration and data entry skills with full knowledge of MS Office Suite and Revenue online procedures
* Proficiency in Netsuite an advantage but not essential
* Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software
* Ability to work as part of a high performing team as well as on your own initiative
